Unless you’re having a planned Caesarean, there’s no way of knowing how your delivery will go. That’s why it’s good to familiarise yourself with what may happen.
Labour induction
Towards the end of pregnancy, the prospect of having labour induced can seem like a good idea. But, be warned; if it’s too early it greatly increases the chances of a Caesarean section.
The unexpected delivery
Even if you are counting on giving birth naturally, you should still anticipate the possibility of having a Caesarean so that you are mentally and physically prepared if it happens.
