Babies born in America in 2009 and 2010 have Twilight to thank for their names.
According to a report by the US Social Security Administration, “Isabella” is the top name for baby girls and “Jacob” is the most popular for boys. “Cullen” had the biggest increase for boys and “Edward” moved up 11 spots.
The biggest increase for girls’ names is “Maliyah”, similar to Malia (the spelling used by the First Daughter), “Isla” is also one of the top 10 fastest growing girls names - the name of actress Isla Fisher.
